How To Say “No” Successfully – It’s Not a Bad or 4-Letter Word

ProductCamp 2026, Session Proposals

Most people in the product world have to say “no” at some point – or maybe they need to but just don’t know how. This workshop will highlight when and why saying “no” matters. Then we will discuss how it has been done successfully by your peers. Who knows – maybe when you do say no, someone could even thank you. It happened to me.

I am a customer lover – doesn’t mean they are always right, but creating and improving products that make customers happy matters to me. I have 20+ years (ugh) working in product and learning my own skills and shortcomings. I have worked with Fortune 10 companies and SMBs, and while the asks may vary, the need to have their problems solved is still the same. That’s what I do – I am the Chief Problem Solver Officer.

ProductCamp Atlanta is a collaborative, participant-organized professional unconference, focused on Product Management, Marketing and UX topics. What’s great is the variety of sessions that are offered by our attendees. You’ll have the option to select from several different sessions throughout the day. We need you to share your insights in a panel, workshop, or presentation.
