Storytelling for Product Managers: How to Think in Narratives

ProductCamp 2025, Session Proposals

Product managers must be good storytellers. Every roadmap, strategy doc, and update tells a story about what matters and why. When the story is unclear, so is the work, and unfortunately, the story is often unclear. This session breaks down storytelling as a practical product skill. We’ll look at how to structure information so it builds understanding and trust, not confusion; how to adapt narratives for different audiences; and how to move beyond decks that dump data to stories that create alignment. Attendees walk away with simple frameworks for shaping product stories and a clear method for avoiding the traps that derail communication, especially in complex organization.
