Proposed Session:
Session Title: Roadmap is a Verb, Not Just a Noun
Description: The overall objective of this session is to provide an overview of the interactive, progressive roadmap process our organization successfully implemented this year at our customer conference. The workshop will begin with a short presentation of the roadmap process, influences, and prioritization process. The interactive component of the workshop will then begin as the group brainstorms ideas on the future direction of a fictitious software product. This will be an interactive workshop with the participants spending “money” on what they think is important for the future of this fictitious software product. This type of large group interaction for roadmap brainstorming is something that can easily and quickly be implemented at your user conferences. At the completion of the interactive portion, we will highlight how this type of interactive session can be conducted through the use of technology in the event you want to conduct this more frequently than your scheduled user conferences and in the event you want to open this up to your potential buyers and current evaluators. At the completion of this session, you will understand how to run an interactive session to gather current market problems and identify areas that the fictitious software product does not currently address which will help define the future roadmap.
