Proposed Session:

Session Title: Best resources used to gather intelligence on competitors, customers and markets

Description: There are lots of methods, tools, and resources to perform your research.  Some produce better results than others.   And when should you use one method over another, such as market analysts verses web searches verses advisory boards verses third-party research?  For new and experienced product managers, this seasoned panel of Product Management / Marketing experts will share with you some of the ordinary means to gather intelligence, as well of some of the unusual and hidden schemes to really dig into what is happening with your competitors, customers, and markets.  And we will leave time to allow the attendees to share some of their unusual methods to gain intelligence.

Gary Palgon, CISSP, is Vice President, Product Management at  nuBridges, Inc. responsible for strategy and planning.  NuBridges provides technical solutions to share sensitive data across applications, departments, and enterprises.  Prior to nuBridges, Gary was Director of Product Marketing at Idapta and VP of Product Management at ZapMedia Inc.
Lisa Crymes is a Director of Product Management at Emdeon, and is an experienced  product manager in the Healthcare market, holding positions of VP of PM and Dir of PM at RelayHealth and Per-Se Technologies.  She is on the board of TAG PM and Georgia HFMA.
Tom Chmielewski, CPM CPPM, CITRMS, is VP of Product Management at Clairmonte Development Corp, and has held VP of PM positions at LexisNexis, ChoicePoint and VP of Marketing at Brickstream responsible for improving the new product planning process and introducing several new products to varied markets.
Perry Hatch is Director of Product Development at TASQ,Technology a div of First Data, and has held roles in the payroll processing market as Director of Product Marketing and Director of Product Management at Ceridian, Payroll Professionals and Perquest.
